ثروتمندترین فرد جهان معرفی شد [ March 08, 2008 ]

نشريه فوربس در تازه‌ترين شماره خود نوشت ، وارن بافت رئيس شركت برك شاير با پيشي گرفتن بر بيل گيتس رئيس مايكروسافت به ثروتمند‌ترين ميلياردر جهان تبديل شده است.

به گزارش خبرگزاري فارس ، اين نشريه در ادامه افزود : بافت به 13 سال برتري بيل گيتس خاتمه داد . ميزان ثروت و دارايي بافت در 12 ماه منتهي به 11 فوريه با 10 ميليارد دلار افزايش به بيش از 62 ميليارد دلار رسيده است.

ميزان داراييهاي بيل گيتس نيز در اين مدت با 2 ميليارد دلار افزايش به 58 ميليارد دلار رسيده است.

بيل گيتس با دو پله سقوط به سومين ثروتمند بزرگ جهان تبديل شده است.

كارلوس اسليم مكزيكي 68 ساله و مالك شركت مخابراتي مكزيك با 60 ميليارد دلار دومين ثروتمند بزرگ جهان شناخته شده است. روسيه با پشت سر گذاشتن آلمان دومين كشور جهان از لحاظ ميلياردرها به شمار مي‌رود.

بيش از 70 درصد ميلياردرهايي كه به تازگي در فهرست فوربس قرار گرفته اند ، از روسيه ، هند ، چين و آمريكا هستند.

در سال 2006 نيمي از 20 ميلياردر بزرگ جهان از آمريكا بودند. اين در حالي است كه اين تعداد امسال به چهار نفر كاهش يافته است. ارزش سهام شركت برك شاير طي 20 سال اخير بيش از 4700 درصد رشد داشته است . ارزش اين شركت بيش از 215 ميليارد دلار است و دهمين شركت بزرگ جهان به شمار مي رود . ارزش شركت مايكروسافت نيز بيش از 262 ميليارد دلار برآورد شده و اين شركت هفتمين شركت بزرگ جهان است.

لاكشمي ميتال هندي مالك كارخانه بزرگ توليد فولاد چهارمين ثروتمند بزرگ جهان است. بيش از 1125 ميلياردر بزرگ از 54 كشور جهان در فهرست امسال فوربس قرار دارد كه نسبت به سال قبل 179 نفر افزايش داشته است.

ارزش كل دارايي اين افراد بيش از 4/4 تريليون دلار است . ميانگين ثروت هر يك از اين افراد به بيش از 9/3 ميليارد دلار مي رسد كه نسبت به سال قبل 250 ميليون دلار رشد نشان مي دهد. جوان‌ترين عضو اين فهرست مارك زوكربرگ موسس شركت FACEBOOK است.

وي با 23 سال سن بيش از 5/1 ميليارد دلار ثروت در اختيار دارد.

ثروتمندترين زن جهان نيز خانم ليليان بتن كورت دختر مالك شركت لورآل فرانسه است. وي با 22 ميليارد دلار ثروت در رتبه 17 فهرست قرار دارد.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 4: Double Agent

Sam Fisher باز هم در Double Agent بازگشته است تا کار های خارق العاده اش را به نمایش بگذارد. او اینبار خود را در موقعیتی می بیند که تا به حال مشابه آن را تجربه نکرده بود. Splinter Cell Double Agent نسبت به نسخه های قبلی این سری، تغییرات فراوانی کرده است و سازندگان وعده یک بازی فوق العاده و بسیار زیباتر از نسخه های قبلی را داده اند.

Sam Fisher بار دیگر باز خواهد گشت تا حرکات زیبای خود را به جهانیان نشان دهد.
طبق گفته سازندگان، داستان از جایی شروع می شود که دختر Sam بر اثر یک حادثه رانندگی جان خود را از دست می دهد و او دچار مشکلات روانی می شود. در این بین او توسط عاملی، ترغیب به وارد شدن در گروه های تروریستی در نقش یک جاسوس مخفی می شود. از این رو برای او جرمی غیر واقعی می تراشند و اعلام می کنند که او به بانکی دستبرد زده و عده ایی را کشته است. Sam به این ترتیب وارد زندان می شود و در آنجا طبق نقشه با یکی از عضو های گروه تروریستی مورد نظر به نام Jamie Washington هم سلول شده و سپس با هم از زندان فرار می کنند. البته هدف اصلی او نفوذ به تشکیلات تروریستی ای آنهاست که با نام John Brown Army شناخته می شود. در این بین Sam ماموریت های مختلفی از سوی کسانی که او را به این ماموریت فرستاده اند و همچنین از سوی تشکیلات تروریستی دریافت می کند و گاهی شما مجبور می شوید فقط یکی ازآن ها را انجام دهید. در واقع به همین دلیل بازی به نام Double Agent شناخته می شود. البته طبق گفته Ubisoft داستان بازی بسیار پیچیده تر از این خواهد بود و چندین پایان مختلف برای آن وجود خواهد داشت.

شما در این قسمت همراه Sam، مراحل بسیاری را طی می کنید. مراحل ابتدایی در درون زندان به وقوع می پیوندند و این طور که به نظر می رسد در اینجا دیگر خبری از وسایل پیشرفته و لباس مخصوص Sam برای انجام دادن ماموریت هایش نیست و هیچ پشتیبانی ای از او نمی شود. البته برای اینکه تروریست ها به Sam مشکوک نشوند شما مجبورید از وسایل دیگری که در بازار سیاه آن ها پیدا می شود، استفاده کنید. ولی هنوز هم در مراحلی Sam امکانات و وسایل خود را که در نسخه های قبل وجود داشتند (وسایلی چون Goggles های مشهور او) در اختیار دارد.

تیم سازنده Double Agent، وعده روندی فوق العاده تر را نیز به بازیکنان داده اند. در این نسخه شما می توانید مکان های بزرگتری را نسبت به نسخه های قبلی ببینید که بازی را جذاب تر کرده اند. Sam این بار در مکان هایی مجبور به شنا و حتی مبارزه در درون آب می شود. از دیگر نکات جالب بازی تاثیر آب و هوا در طول مراحل است که شما باید از آن به نفع خود استفاده کنید. در Double Agent، نور ها و سایه ها تاثیر بیشتری در بازی شما و تکنیک های مخفی کاری دارند. البته به طور یقین، این مسائل در کنسول های Xbox 360 و PS3 بیشتر دیده خواهند شد.

گاهی افراد دیگری هم در طول ماموریت، شما را همراهی می کنند.
یکی از نکات جالب این نسخه قابلیت انتخاب می باشد. به طوری که می توانید بیشتر به سوی تروریست ها گرایش داشته باشید و با آن ها روابط برقرار کنید. در این حالت آن ها امکانات مختلفی در اختیارتان خواهند گذاشت. اگر به سوی عاملان ماموریت خود گرایش داشته باشید پشتیبانی ماهواره ای در اختیار شما می گذارند تا بتوانید نقشه ای از محیط اطراف را ببینید.

Sam در ماموریت های خود در Double Agent گاهی توسط فرد دیگری همراهی می شود. برای مثال در زندان، Jamie Washington شما را همراهی می کند. افراد همراه از هوش مصنوعی بسیار بالایی برخوردار هستند و بر اساس موقعیت رفتار درست را انجام می دهد. به نظر می رسد که هوش مصنوعی دشمنان نیز بهبود یافته است. به طوری که درجه سختی Elite حتی برای یک حرفه ای نیز مشکل به خواهد بود.

Double Agent در مکان های بسیار متفاوتی به وقوع می پیوندد و شما در شهر های مختلف به انجام ماموریت می پردازید. به طوری که Sam علاوه بر انجام ماموریت در New Orleans، پایگاه تروریست ها، در شهر هایی چون New York، Washington، Kinshasa و Shanghai نیز دیده خواهد شد. در این بین او در محیط های مختلفی چون خیابان های شهر های جنگ زده یا در صحرا و میان طوفان شن به انجام ماموریت می پردازد. در بعضی مراحل مجبور می شوید در روز به بازی بپردازید. این مراحل بسیار سخت تر از ماموریت های شبانه هستند و به راحتی لو می روید. در این نسخه، هنوز هم می توانید به صورت Co-op، دو نفره مراحل به خصوصی از بازی را طی کنید. Double Agent در کنسول های مختلف دارای مراحلی امتیازی ای هم هست که در نسخه های دیگر آن وجود ندارند.

به نظر می رسد که گرافیک بازی پیشرفت شایانی داشته و بازی بسیار واقعی تر از قبل شده است. نورپردازی این نسخه از بازی بسیار بهتر از قبل است و تکنیک های ویژه ای برای ساخت نمای بصری به کار گرفته شده است. جزئیات بالا نیز به راحتی از عکس های منتشر شده مشخص هستند. سازندگان همچنین قول ساخت صحنه های زیبایی چون طوفان های شن و کولاک را داده اند. البته از این نظر نیز نسخه Xbox 360 برتری های ویژه ای دارد. به طوری که برای به کار گرفتن منابع فوق العاده 360، سازندگان مجبور شده اند تمام مراحل آن را به طور جداگانه طراحی کنند. برای مثال در مرحله ای نزدیک یک هتل پنج ستاره شانگ های (Shanghai) شما می توانید افق دوردست را ببینید که در کنسول های زمان حاضر ممکن نیست.

Hint: Play Basketball
Head to the left of Sweet's house (and go into the back yard) in your neighborhood to find a basketball court. Pick up the ball and follow the onscreen instructions to play some hoop.

Head out behind your house in Los Santos and go down into the aqueduct. Go down the slope and head right along the walkway to locate a nice Mini SMG. You'll also find a pistol in Sweet's backyard.

Hint: Easy Body Armor
Go out behind the house and into the aqueduct to the left. Go down the sloped wall of the aqueduct and head left. On an incline underneath the bridge, you'll find a handy vest.

Hint: Easy Money for Cleaning the Hood
Anytime you kill a drug dealer, you will net $2000. Drug dealers normally wear black jackets (some have white hoodies) and stand still waiting for people to talk to them. Kill as many as you can find to build up your cash stash quickly.

At 12:01 AM in San Fierro all of the snapshot areas glow.

Hint: GTA3
In the mission "Wu Zi Mu," your "girlfriend" will start to attack you and leave you for the character you play as in GTA3. The mission has you racing against him and 2 others. After the race they leave for Liberty city.

Hint: Secret Weapon
To find a unique weapon, head to the Police Department in Los Santos (or just get "Busted"). Enter the building and walk to the shower room. You'll find a sex toy that can be used as a melee weapon.

Hint: Quick Hood Defence
While playing the game, your hood will undergo attacks from other factions. To save yourself some time and end these disaster quickly, simply jack any vehice in which you can access extra missions using R3 (i.e., police vehicles, fire vehicles, taxicabs, ambulance, et al.). Start and end the extra mission (press R3 and exit the vehicle) and your hood will no longer undergo attack.

Hint: Super Bunny Hop
Grab a bicycle (this works better if your bike skills are all the way up) make sure you have a weapon you can fire on your bike, hold down L1, right. As you release L1 to bunny hop fire your gun (your timing must be perfect but it gets easier), if your bike skills are high you will be able to clear stop lights and get on top of sum buildings easily! This comes in handy!

Hint - 2P Select-A-Drive-By-Shooting
During co-op, you can use the weapon codes to alter the weapon used for drive-bys. Once you have a "normal" drive-by weapon, expend all the ammo and select a different weapon (rocket launchers, flamethrowers, and grenades are invalid).

Board a vehicle with the selected weapon and input any weapon cheat again (refills ammo). The weapon you selected will now be usable for drive-by mode.

Glitch: Zap The Hood
When attempting a take over of a hood, exploit the game by looking for a nearby body of water deep enough for CJ to actually swim in.

Get into the water then swim back out and a message will apear claiming that the hood is yours.

Easter Egg: No Easter Egg
Fly up to the southern support beam of the Gant Bridge with the jet pack for a special message.

Easter Egg: Hoodlum Noteriety
When you finish some missions (for example: 555 we tip) listen to the radio. You'll hear the person talking about the mission just passed.

Easter Egg: Rockstar Cameos
In one of Zero's mission, where you have to use the machine gun to knock down the RC planes, you can see some action figures of Rockstar characters like Tommy Vercetti, Lance Vance, as well as characters from other games in Rockstar's line-up during Zero's dialogue.

Hint: Bullet Proof Cars
During the mission "High Stakes, Low Rider", keep the competition closely behind you until the pier finish line. Once the race is over the other cars appear behind you.

With another car or by just walking, push Ceasar's red car up the pier and over the edge of the sidewalk into your nearby safe house garage to the left. What's the point of all this? Not only is it a pimp red car, it's also BULLET PROOF, which helps alot this early in the game.

2. Kill all 4 people inside.
3. Use the jetpack cheat.
4. Walk to the yellow marker with the jetpack, and fly straight up. You'll go straight up through the roof. Now, land on the roof.
5. Fly 2 blocks east, and you'll see a yellow marker. Land right on/near the marker, take off the jetpack, and walk inside the marker.
6. You'll enter the Angel Pine Motel building. Grab your jetpack (if you see it), or respawn it again with a cheat.
7. You can now fly up, and around the interior universe.

1) Crouching raises the chance of you not getting hit significantly.

پاسارگاد اولین پایتخت سلسله ای امپراطوری هخامنشی بود که توسط کوروش دوم بزرگ در قرن ششم قبل از میلاد ساخته شد. کاخهای آن، طرح باغها، هم چنین آرامگاه کوروش آن نمونه های برجسته ای از اولین مرحلهٔ تکامل هنر و معماری سلطنتی هخامنشیان هستند، و یک گواهی استثنایی از تمدن ایرانی است.

وضعیت ملکی

مشخصات
شهر باستانی پاسارگاد نخستین پایتخت شاهنشاهی هخامنشی در قلب استان پارس ، در دشت رودخانه پُلوار قرار دارد. نام شهر"اردوگاه پارس" دلالت از موقعیت مکانی شهر دارد. شهر توسط کوروش بزرگ (کوروش دوم) در سدهٔ ششم قبل از میلاد ساخته شد. محوطهٔ اصلی (160 هکتار، حدوداً 2.7×0.8 کیلومتر) توسط یک منطقهٔ طبیعی بزرگ احاطه و محافظت شده است (حدوداً 7127 هکتار). محوطهٔ اصلی شامل این بناهای تاریخی میباشد:

- آرامگاه کورش بزرگ در جنوب؛
- تل تخت ( یا تل تخت سلیمان، "سریر پادشاهی سلیمان") و استحکامات، واقع بر یک تپه در شمال محوطهٔ اصلی؛
- مجموعهٔ سلطنتی در مرکز محوطهٔ اصلی ، شامل بقایای: ساختمان دروازه(دروازه R)، تالار عمومی(کاخ S)، قصرمسکونی(کاخ P)، و باغ سلطنتی(چهار باغ).
- در منطقهٔ شرق یک بنای کوچک قرار دارد(16×16 متر) که یک پُل تشخیص داده شده. در شمال مجموعهٔ سلطنتی زندان سلیمان قرار دارد، یک برج سنگی، باحدوداً 14 متر ارتفاع. تاریخ ساخت این بنا مشخص نیست.
محوطهٔ اصلی شامل منطقهٔ حفاری شده میباشد، اما پایتخت باستانی منطقه ای بسیار وسیعتر از این منطقه میباشد و هنوز حفاری نشده. در محوطهٔ حفاظتی اطراف، باقیمانده های دیگری نیز هستند: محدودهٔ مقدس(حدوداً550-530 پیش از میلاد)، و محوطه های تل نوخودی، تل خاری، تل سه آسیاب، دوتلان، که برخی از اینها متعلق به ماقبل تاریخ میباشند، همینطور مدرسه یا کاروانسرای (سده 14 میلادی). در محوطهٔ حفاظتی همچنین پنج روستا وجود دارند که کشاورزان در آنها ساکنند.

آرامگاه کوروش بزرگ

آرامگاه کوروش بزرگ حدوداً در 540-530 قبل از میلاد از سنگ آهکی به رنگ سفید ساخته شده. پایه بنا (13.35×12.30 متر) از شش لایه پلکانی تشکیل شده است، که از آنها اولی به بلندی 170 سانتیمتر، دومی و سومی 104 سانتیمتر، وسه عدد آخری 57.5 سانتیمتر هستند. خزانهٔ آرامگاه، در بالاترین نقطه، شگل یک خانهٔ شیروانی ساده را دارد با یک ورودی کوچک در غرب. در سده‌های میانه باور بر این بود که این بنا آرامگاه مادر سلیمان باشد و با استفاده از ستونهای باقیمانده از کاخ‌های باستانی یک مسجد در گرد آن ساخته شد. یک محراب کوچک در خزانهٔ آرامگاه کنده‌کاری شد. در دههٔ 1970 بقایای مسجد پاکسازی شده و تکه های تاریخی به نزدیکی مکانهای اصلیشان بازگردانده شدند.

تل تخت

تل تخت اشاره دارد به سکوی تراس مستحکم ساخته شده بر یک تپه در انتهای شمالی پاسارگاد. ساختار سنگ آهکی به روش بنایی خشک ساخته شده، با استفاده از قالبهای بزرگ سنگی و یک شیوهٔ اتصالی بنام آناتیروسیس"anathyrosis"، که در آسیای صغیر در سدهٔ ششم میلادی با آن آشنا بودند. نقشهٔ عمومی ساختمان تراس یک متوازی الاضلاع با ابعاد تقریبی 98×79 متر است، با تورفتگیهایی در کناره های شمالی و جنوبی. ارتفاع اصلی آن تقریباً 15 متر بود. اولین مرحله از ساخت بنا توسط کوروش بزرگ انجام گرفته، و با مرگ وی در سال 530 قبل از میلاد متوقف شد. مرحلهٔ دوم در دوران داریوش بزرگ ساخته شد (522-486 قبل از میلاد)، با استفاده از آجرهای گلی(خشتی).

نقشهٔ مجموعهٔ سلطنتی پاسارگاد

مجموعهٔ سلطنتی مرکز پاسارگاد را اشغال کرده. از تعدادی کاخ تشکیل شده که در اصل در محدوده مجموعهٔ باغها قرار دارند (معروف به "چهار باغ"). طرح رنگ معماری برگرفته شده از سنگهای سفید و سیاه که در ساختار آن بکار رفته. بدنهٔ اصلی کاخها از سالنهای ستون دار تشکیل شده است. تالار عمومی (کاخ S) حدوداً در سال 539 پیش از میلاد ساخته شده. سالن ستون دار آن دو ردیف از چهار ستون دارد. پایه ستونها از سنگ سیاه هستند (1.43×1.43)، و بدنهٔ ستونها از سنگ آهکی سفید. پایه ستونها 1.04 متر و بدنهٔ ستونها 12.06 متر ارتفاع دارند. سر ستونها از سنگ سیاه بوده اند. شواهدی موجوداست که سرستونها یک شیر مرکب، شاخ دار و یال دار را نشان میداده. کاخ یک سرسرا در هر طرف داشته.برخی از نقوش برجستهٔ درگاه ها حفظ شده اند، که پیکر انسان و دیوها را نشان میدهند. کاخ مسکونی (کاخ P) کوروش دوم در سال 535-530 پیش از میلاد بنا شده؛ سالن ستون دار آن (31.1×22.1 متر) پنج ردیف از شش ستون دارد، و سرسرای پر ابهت آن در جنوب شرقی به ابعاد 75.5×9.3 متر است. ساختمان دروازه در حدود شرقی محوطهٔ اصلی قرار دارد. یک سالن ستون دار است با نقشهٔ چهار ضلعی، 26.2×22.2 متر. در یکی از چهار چوبهای دروازه، یک نقش برجستهٔ مشهور از یک پیکر بال دار است. پاویلیونهای A و B احتمالاً دو ورودی به باغ سلطنتی بوده اند. از این دو، پاویلیون B بهتر حفظ شده؛ و آن از یک سکوی چهارضلعی از سنگهای آراسته شده تشکیل شده، 11.7×10.1 متر.
تاریخ
سرزمین پارس زادگاه هخامنشیان بوده، طایفهٔ پارسها، که به رهبری کوروش دوم بزرگ(دورهٔ سلطنت 559-529 پیش از میلاد) بر مادها در سال 550 پیش از میلاد پیروز شدند. بر پایه سنت، کوروش دوم این منطقه را به پایتختی انتخاب کرد زیرا در نزدیکی منطقه ای بود که بر آستیاگ پادشاه ماد پیروز شد. این اولین پیروزی پیرو گشت با غلبه بر لیدی، بابل نو، و مصر، و امپراطوری بعداً توسط پسر او کمبوجیه(529-522 پیش از میلاد) و داریوش اول بزرگ(521-486 پیش از میلاد) تحکیم و گسترش یافت. از کوروش در انجیل به عنوان آزادی دهندهٔ بابل و کسی که یهودها را از تبعید بازگردانده یاد شده.
داریوش اول تصمیم گرفت یک پایتخت نمادین در پرسپولیس بسازد، حدود 70 کیلومتر به جنوب. به هر حال پاسارگاد یک مرکز مهم سلسله ای باقی ماند تا هنگامی که اسکندر بزرگ از مقدونیه در سال 330 پیش از میلاد امپراطوری را تسخیر کرد. به گفتهٔ نویسندگان باستانی، مانند هرودوت و آریان(گزنفون)، اسکندر آرامگاه کوروش را محترم میشمرده و آن را بازسازی نمود.
در دوره های بعدی، از تل تخت همچنان بعنوان یک دژ بهره برداری میشد، حال آنکه کاخها متروک شده و از مصالح آن دوباره استفاده شد. از سدهٔ هفتم به بعد، آرامگاه کوروش به نام آرامگاه مادر سلیمان خوانده میشد، و به یک مکان زیارتی تبدیل شد. در سدهٔ دهم یک مسجد کوچک در گرد آن ساخته شد، که تا سدهٔ چهاردهم از آن استفاده میشد. این محوطه توسط مسافرین طی سده ها بازدید شده، که باعث از دست رفتن تدریجی اجزا گوناگون آن گشته. توجه ویژه شده است به آرامگاه کوروش و تراس مستحکم شده تل تخت.

کوروش دوم، معروف به کوروش بزرگ یا کوروش کبیر (۵۷۶-۵۲۹ پیش از میلاد) شاه پارسی، به‌خاطر بخشندگی‌، بنیان گذاشتن حقوق بشر، پایه گذاری نخستین امپراطوری چند ملیتی و بزرگ جهان، آزاد کردن برده‌ها و اسرا، احترام به عقاید و مذاهب مختلف، گسترش تمدن و... شناخته شده‌است. کوروش نخستین شاه ایران و بنیان‌گذار دوره‌ی شاهنشاهی ایرانیان می باشد.
واژه کوروش یعنی "خورشیدوار". کور یعنی "خورشید" و وش یعنی "مانند".
ایرانیان کوروش را پدر و یونانیان، که وی ممالک ایشان را تسخیر کرده بود، ‌او را سرور و قانونگذار می نامیدند. یهودیان این پادشاه را به منزله ممسوح پروردگار محسوب می داشتند ،‌ضمن آنکه بابلیان او را مورد تأیید مردوک می دانستند . درباره شخصیت ذوالقرنین که در کتابهای آسمانی یهودیان، مسیحیان و مسلمانان از آن سخن به میان آمده، چند گانگی وجود دارد و این که به واقع ذوالقرنین چه کسی است به طور قطعی مشخص نشده . کوروش سرسلسله هخامنشی، داریوش بزرگ، خشایارشا، اسکندر مقدونی گزینه‌هایی هستند که جهت پیدا شدن ذوالقرنین واقعی درباره آنها تحقیقاتی صورت گرفته، اما با توجه به اسناد و مدارک تاریخی و تطبیق آن با آیات قرآن، تورات، و انجیل تنها کوروش بزرگ است که موجه ترین دلایل را برای احراز این لقب دارا می باشد.

آرامگاه کوروش بزرگ در نیمهٔ راست در مرکز تصویر مشخص است.پاسارگاد پنجمین محوطه جهانی ایران است که طی جلسه یونسکو که در تیر ماه سال 1383 در چین برگزار شد به علت دارا بودن شاخصه های فراوان با صد در صد آرا در فهرست میراث جهانی به ثبت رسید. هر اثر که در فهرست جهانی یونسکو جای می گیرد طبق کنوانسیون میراث طبیعی و تاریخی باید از سوی کشور نگهدارنده اثر، مورد توجه ویژه قرار گیرد و انجام هرگونه اقدامی در به خطر افتادن آن ممنوع است. نيروي دريايي ايران با داشتن 1000 كشتي موفق شد نيروي دريايي يونان را با داشتن 370 فروند كشتي سه رديف پاروزن ، در كانال مگارين ، به دام بيندازند .
يوناني ها در جهت شمال عقب نشستند و بدين ترتيب به نيرنگ نيروي دريايي ايران را به داخل تنگه باريكي در حوالي سالاميس كشاندند .
نيروي دريايي ايران با ورود به اين باريكه نتوانست مانور كند ، يوناني ها بازگشتند و جنگيدند و 300 گالي ايراني را غرق كردند و فقط 40 كشتي از دست دادند !!!!!!!!!!!!

خشايار شاه زمامدار ايران در سال 486 ق.م. به قدرت رسيد و در سال 480 ق.م. به حمله ي گسترده ي دريايي و زميني بر ضد آتن و متحدانش اقدام كرد اما تو فيقي به دست نياورد .

اكثر كشتي هاي جنگي به چند رديف برده نشسته بر نيمكت براي پاروزدن و به حركت در اوردن انها متكب بودند .
بعضي از كشتي ها نيز بادبان داشتند تا اگر باد مساعد بوزد از آن استفاده كنند .

رومي ها در سال 43 ميلادي از سمت جنوب به برتانيا تجاوز كردند وتا مسافت بعيدي در شمال ، يعني تا جبهه ي پلوتيان ، كه با اقتباس از نام پلوتوس رهبر رومي نام گزاري شد پيشروي كردند .
قلعه ميدان واقع در <دورست> مكان جنگ بريتون ها و رومي ها بود .
ارتش روم در اينجا از منجنيق هاي سنگ انداز و منجنيق هاي كوچكتر موسوم به باليستا استفاده كرد.
در اين مكان از عهد حجر قلعه اي وجود داشت كه پيش از رسيدن رومي ها ، با ايجاد شيب و تقويت ديوار وخاكريز ها ، آن را مستحكم كردند .
